The celebration of the Festa do Menino (Toddler's Festival), a celebration that takes place in the first day of the year at Vila Chá de Braciosa, a village in the Norteastner corner of Portugal, and that traces it's origins to the pre-christian fertility festivals of winter solstice. In it three characters (Bailador, Bailadeira, Velha) will go to each house of the village to dance and gather offerings.
